I've been married a year.

Yes kids, I have been married a year now. I never thought I would be married to such a nice guy. I love him and He tries to do as much as he can. Chris and I had the opportunity to go to London for the weekend. It was nice we got a hotel and made the best of London for two days. It was very hot and muggy while we were there. Riding the tube was almost unbearable. Chris did a very nice job of planning activities that didn't cost much. All the museums and Galleries are basically free. They always have people standing at all entrances point to the donation bucket.

Chris planned for us to have a lovely dinner in China town. It was very good although we were a little rushed. We had to make it to our West End show, WICKED. It was amazing. I was very pleased with the music and our seats were great. Chris also gave me some great gifts. He has made it possible for not only me, but for both of us to go home for Thanksgiving. I'm really excited I think I really do need to make a trip home.

I was employed for about three months but things didn't really work out and I am on the job hunt again. Oh and for the record: I do not nor have I ever hated Jews. (Long story)

I have also been called to be in the Primary Presidency. There have been lots of challenges but I'm really loving the kids. Being new to the ward I don't really know a lot of people but I sure do I like their kids. I have been very impressed when quite a few of them.

Look where your going!

After leaving work today some idiot smashed my driver side mirror. I was so annoyed and had to squeeze my fat self between two cars to get all the bits that fell off so the trusty Kevin could fix it for me. It was very embarrassing. I am really not enjoying driving in the UK. Chris is going to take his drive test on Friday. I hope he does well because I don't know how much more I can take of this. I'm really looking forward to it. I think all I want for my birthday is to for Chris get his licence.

Lifes happenings

At the end of March Chris and I bought a car. Its a 97 Vauxall Corsa. We got it from a lovely family in the ward they were getting a new edition and needed something a bit bigger. Its a nice little ride gets us where we need to be. I've been doing all of the driving Chris is still working on getting his licence. His big test is on May 15 so send him lots of good vibes.

April has been an eventfully month. After 6 months of searching I final
ly have a job. Its for Ifield Medical Practice as a Bank Summarizer and Receptionist. Being on back staff mean I'm just there to cover peoples Holiday or sick leave. I hope that I can make things more perminate. Everyone seems very nice I really like it. I'm still training but I think I will pick things up fairly quick. I'm pretty excited to finally have some money. I think the lord has really been helping to keep my cloths from falling apart, since I've had this job my sh
oes have worn holes in the souls and everything I turn around I have a new whole in a shirt. Its funny how things work.

Chris, Pappy (Chris' Dad) and I went to Hever castle. It was Anne Bolynes childhood home. It was really cool. It had a mote and everything. The garden was really well done all sorts of different plants. Chris and Pappy wanted to flex their male egos and took me on a row boat ride around the lake. There was lots of heckling about who could row the best. Chris just went in circles. It was pretty scary and raining. All and all it was a fun day.
I also had some visitors from across the pond. The lovely and incomparable Silvia Cahan and Barbra Spangler came to see me during their visit touring England. It was so nice it has really changed my attitude about being here. They gave me what I needed. I was really nice to have some mothering.

First of Many

My hope for this is that my friends and family can see what I'm up to being so far from home. I feel bad the only person I've really kept in contact with is my mother. I think its probably because I would receive a tongue lashing is I didn't. I hope you enjoy what you read and feel free to comment.

Being a Newlywed:
I can not say enough how happy I am to finally be with Chris. He brings so much joy in my life. Its so nice sleeping with some one. If you know me well you will know that I hate wearing shoes and socks. When my feet are cold I just press them on Chris's nice and warm  body. The screaming normally subsides after a few minutes but it is just so nice. On Wednesdays we normally go to pool. Chris is in a Pub pool league. They go to different pubs around town playing and drinking. It is quite fun. His friends are very welcoming and  just fun to be around. We have also bought a pass to go to the movies. Its only like 12 pounds for the whole month, thats just two tickets right there. We have been going a few times a weeks. Its a nice night out for very little money.

The Job Search:
Jobs in Crawley are pretty scarce. I've been really pounding the pavement hard this week. I've gone to most of all the agencies in town looking for employment. They all tell me the same things that there is not a lot out there and hopefully it will pick up after the New Year. I surely do hope so. I hate not work. As much as I love playing Mario Kart all day, I feel guilty for not contributing to society.

Some Of Our Outings:
For Halloween there is a large Farm about 15 mins away that does a haunted house and corn maze. Chris, Pappy (Chris's Dad) and I went. It was very cold and muddy but we had a blast. I have to see it was pretty impressive the actors were very good. I even jumped a few times.
We also went to see the comedian Lee Evans in Brighton. I had not heard of him before but he was very funny. He is very well known over here. Boy does he sweat. The man literally went through 3 suites in 2 hours. I was shocked.

The Difference between England and USA:
Since I got here I've been craving a Root Beer. No kids no root beer for you. The Soda is a bit different Coke, Dr Pepper and Sprite taste just a little bit funny. They call Sprite Lemon aid for some strange reason. When you go out they don't have free re-fills. You pay like 2 pounds for a Coke and the cup is really small. Drives me nuts. There are other sodas that are nice, Orange Fanta is a lot more orangeyer and I love Apple Tango. Its like the green apple jones Soda but not so expensive. You have to pay for ketchup! They eat baked beans with everything. I've found that most foods are either tasteless of extremely spicy. My stomach hasn't taken to well to it.  The  road over here are crazy. You have to over take people a lot. The line in the middle over the road doesn't mean anything people just drive directly in the middle of the road. They have Round-abouts everywhere. There really confusing some have multiple lanes and stop lights. I walk a lot.
