First of Many

My hope for this is that my friends and family can see what I'm up to being so far from home. I feel bad the only person I've really kept in contact with is my mother. I think its probably because I would receive a tongue lashing is I didn't. I hope you enjoy what you read and feel free to comment.

Being a Newlywed:
I can not say enough how happy I am to finally be with Chris. He brings so much joy in my life. Its so nice sleeping with some one. If you know me well you will know that I hate wearing shoes and socks. When my feet are cold I just press them on Chris's nice and warm  body. The screaming normally subsides after a few minutes but it is just so nice. On Wednesdays we normally go to pool. Chris is in a Pub pool league. They go to different pubs around town playing and drinking. It is quite fun. His friends are very welcoming and  just fun to be around. We have also bought a pass to go to the movies. Its only like 12 pounds for the whole month, thats just two tickets right there. We have been going a few times a weeks. Its a nice night out for very little money.

The Job Search:
Jobs in Crawley are pretty scarce. I've been really pounding the pavement hard this week. I've gone to most of all the agencies in town looking for employment. They all tell me the same things that there is not a lot out there and hopefully it will pick up after the New Year. I surely do hope so. I hate not work. As much as I love playing Mario Kart all day, I feel guilty for not contributing to society.

Some Of Our Outings:
For Halloween there is a large Farm about 15 mins away that does a haunted house and corn maze. Chris, Pappy (Chris's Dad) and I went. It was very cold and muddy but we had a blast. I have to see it was pretty impressive the actors were very good. I even jumped a few times.
We also went to see the comedian Lee Evans in Brighton. I had not heard of him before but he was very funny. He is very well known over here. Boy does he sweat. The man literally went through 3 suites in 2 hours. I was shocked.

The Difference between England and USA:
Since I got here I've been craving a Root Beer. No kids no root beer for you. The Soda is a bit different Coke, Dr Pepper and Sprite taste just a little bit funny. They call Sprite Lemon aid for some strange reason. When you go out they don't have free re-fills. You pay like 2 pounds for a Coke and the cup is really small. Drives me nuts. There are other sodas that are nice, Orange Fanta is a lot more orangeyer and I love Apple Tango. Its like the green apple jones Soda but not so expensive. You have to pay for ketchup! They eat baked beans with everything. I've found that most foods are either tasteless of extremely spicy. My stomach hasn't taken to well to it.  The  road over here are crazy. You have to over take people a lot. The line in the middle over the road doesn't mean anything people just drive directly in the middle of the road. They have Round-abouts everywhere. There really confusing some have multiple lanes and stop lights. I walk a lot.
